Product Handling
Material Safety Data Sheets
The best resource for handling a chemical safely is its Material Safety Data Sheet or MSDS. Generally, they can be found through searching online. For our products, we provide an online library of safety documents and include a QR code on our packaging for the chemical's MSDS
Inhalation, Ingestion, Skin Contact, Eye Contact
These are the main risk areas of chemical exposure. Consult the MSDS for the chemical to find out what precautions to take and how to handle an exposure event. The risk of handling chemicals can be lessened by using appropriate PPE (personal protective equipment) such as gloves, goggles/glasses and a lab coat
Safe And Responsible Disposal Of Chemicals
Consult the chemical's MSDS for general guidelines on how to dispose of the chemical safely. Before disposing of it, consider whether the chemical is hazardous waste, as well as environmental precautions and local waste regulations
Incompatible Materials
When dealing with multiple chemicals, it's important to store them properly. Examples of what to avoid include storing acids near strong bases and flammable chemicals near oxidisers. Consult the MSDS for the chemical to check how it should be stored
Storing Chemicals In The Home
Extra precautions are essential when storing chemical products in the home. Ensure you're using appropriate containers that are hard to access, as well as keeping chemicals out of reach for children and pets
